Our development is like
that of a butterfly. We must "die and be reborn" as the egg dies and
becomes a caterpillar; a caterpillar dies and becomes a chrysalis; the

It is the struggle
between that which decides to serve something greater than
ourselves and that in us which wishes to take only for
ourselves. It is the liberation of that egoism that is the

this is of all things the hardest and the most decisive.
